The combination of the lightness of macadamia oil and the richness of olive oil fit together perfectly, so that stressed-out hair is actually nurtured during the colour treatment.

Before colour application, wash the hair with a mild cleansing shampoo (KEEN DEEP CLEANING SHAMPOO) to remove all residues and towel-dry hair. Apply a Leave-In-Care (KEEN PROTECTIVE SERUM) for pretreatment. Blowdry hair. Then start to apply the colour paste. This way you achieve best colour results.
Place equal amounts of KEEN CREAM DEVELOPER and KEEN COLOUR CREAM XXL into a non-metallic bowl (ratio 1 : 1) or KEEN VELVET COLOUR (1 : 2). For a more intensive lightening effect (12 series colours) use double KEEN CREAM DEVELOPER for KEEN COLOUR CREAM XXL, ratio 1 : 2. KEEN CREAM DEVELOPER should be mixed with KEEN COLOUR CREAM XXL / KEEN VELVET COLOUR only when you are ready to apply the mixture.
Olive and macadamia oils

Apply the ready-to-use colour mixture thoroughly to the dry hair. Depending on the degree of brightening desired, use KEEN CREAM DEVELOPER in 1,9%, 3%, 6%, 9% or 12% concentrations (with VELVET COLOURS 1,9%, 3%, 6% or 9%). Times given for leaving the mixture on the hair are intended as a guideline. They may be extended to suit requirements. Times should be halved when applying additional heat.
First apply the mixture midshaft to ends, leaving an untreated 1 – 2 cm of hair at the root base. Leave for 15 – 20 minutes, then apply mixture to the hair at the root base. Leave for a further 10 – 15 minutes.
Apply the prepared colour mixture to the root base. Process for 30 – 45 minutes. Where balance of hair colour is required, the colouring cream mixture can be emulsified with warm water and applied over the entire head of hair. Rinse well after approximately 5 minutes.
After the process time, emulsify mixture with some water then rinse thoroughly. Then wash hair with KEEN KERATIN COLOUR & SHINE SHAMPOO. Finish treatment with KEEN KERATIN COLOUR & SHINE CONDITIONER for neutralization and hair care. For hair more dehydrated we recommend KEEN KERATIN COLOUR & SHINE MASK.
Intensifier shades are not for use on their own: they have the effect of intensifying a particular shade. A few centimetres of the intensifier is sufficient when added to the KEEN COLOUR CREAM XXL. Depending on the desired result, the amount of intensifier can be increased.

THE .00 SERIES + # – The colours in the 5.00 – 9.00 series have been specially developed for 90 – 100% grey coverage. The mixing ratio is 1 : 1.
Brightens the natural pigments in the first 30 – 40 minutes, deposit the pigments in the last 15 – 20 minutes.
